I am an American artist, born in Malaysia. Growing up with a single mother and four siblings, I spent a decade living with relatives in an abusive environment, far from a life of privilege. After high school, I saved enough money through modeling to move to New York City, bringing with me one of the only two family portraits I had.

Immersed in the vibrant art scene of the 1980s, I found my passion for photography, inspired by Warhol's silkscreens and photography books. With a borrowed camera and darkroom classes at ICP and the New School, I began teaching myself photography, experimenting with lab print techniques that I developed participation and interest.

Although my career was put on hold due to societal expectations for women with children, I eventually traveled the world, capturing portraits that led to the publication of two photography books on Chinese and European opera. Through photography, I continue to cultivate my time in photography and art.

Most of the works are self representing personal projects.Using tradition style and DIY- abstract photogram, playing different genre and themes focused mainly on: portraits, women’s identity, environment through the lens on photography.

Abstract geometric forms are few of my yearly seasonal common activities such as drawings and creating wood sculptures
